Playing With "Danger"

About a year ago, I met up with Wally Gilbert, a colleague of mine (who I also did an internship with during college), at his gallery reception held at Salon R. I chatted with him, catching up on his past work, and talked about his current exhibit at the time. Afterwards, I spoke with the owner of the salon and one thing led to another and next thing I knew I had received a date for a gallery of my own!

Fast forwarding to now, I am pleased and excited to announce my very own gallery show, Playing With "Danger", a visual story about the interactions I've experienced with wolves & wolfdogs. A majority of people who talk to me about my work with wolves often ask me if it's dangerous or if I'm ever afraid that I may get hurt or eaten. Some even become filled with fear of the idea of ever coming close to these animals. When faced with these ideas / opinions of "fear" & "danger", I walk right past them and embrace these wonderful animals into my arms. In this exhibit, I plan to share my experiences and hopefully change the opinions of others to view wolves from a more respectful & positive light. More details are yet to come about the exhibit!
